Jack was born, raised and currently lives under the "Big Sky" of Montana. Early exposure to the art of CM Russell led Jack to life time of interest in western art. Jack continues to be inspired by this great artist.
After receiving a degree in art from Montana State University, Jack became interested in sculpture and the bronze art casting industry. In 1979 Jack founded Kalispell Art Casting and is still owner/operator, where he oversees the production of his own sculpture.
The subject of Jack's art is mainly western and wildlife with emphasis on equestrian themes. Jack employs strong sculptural elements such as composition, form, texture and negative space. The use of these elements along with a soft flat finish results in a sculptural style that has become uniquely associated with Jack's work.
